Most people that repair iPhone screens tend to use the cheapest replacement screens available to maximise profits. However, although they look the same when fitted, they have a few issues that tend to plague the poor user. Here is a list of potential issues with cheap LCDs:
- Cheap plastic frames are stuck together with VERY weak glue, meaning the LCD will usually fall out
- Visible digitizer texture (not as smooth and slick as the screens fitted originally)
- Slow digitizer (slightly delayed and jumpy response)
- LCD and bezel is thicker (meaning the screen protrudes from the phone too much)
- Glass and home button not level (due to the thinner glass, packed up inside with a plastic strip)
- Bad viewing angles (some distort when viewed at an angle)
- Colour/resolution is incorrect or different to the original
- Weak glass (much thinner)
- Glass and digitizer fused (the slightest crack causes the touch to stop working)
- Some don't work with sunglasses (apparently polarizing sunglasses can cause issues with the cheap polarizers on budget screens)
On all models up to iPhone 8 Plus we use screens that have been pulled from iPhones and refurbished to the highest possible standard. This makes them indistinguishable from your original screen.
On models from iPhone X to iPhone 11 we offer 2 options Standard and Premium, Standard screens function beautifully but the Premium screens offer another level of colour, clarity and strength. Refurbished screens are available at additional cost.
